We use them to talk with friends and family. And they are helpful in emergencies. But they can also be bad. Some people have bad manners with phones. The way many people use cell phones is out of control. Respecting public and personal space is important when using a cell phone. So is not disturbing others. Public places such as restaurants, waiting rooms, and theaters are usually bad places to talk on the phone. Checking sports scores is another form of bad manners. It is rude to do this while talking to people. Also, you should never text or surf the web while driving.
