Muhammad Ali was a famous boxer. He died on June 3, 2016. He was 74 years old. Ali won three Heavyweight championships. Ali was a clever and confident person. He also cared about social and political issues. Ali’s original name was Cassius Clay. He won the Light Heavyweight Olympic gold medalin 1960. He was 18 years old. Alibe came a professional after the Olympics.

In 1964, he beat Sonny Liston to win hisfirst Heavyweight title. He changed his named to Muhammad Ali after beating Liston. But things were not easy after ward. Ali refused to enter the U.S. Army. His title and boxing license weretaken away in 1966. He did not boxagain until 1970. Ali won title two more times. He retired shortly after his last fight in 1981. Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1984.
