Disneyland is a big part of American culture. But there are Disney parks in other countries, too. There are Disney parks in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Disney has plans for Asia, too. They opened a new park in Shanghai in June. Disney in Shanghai is the largest international Disney Park. The park covers 3.9 square kilometers. Shanghai Disney combines American and Chinese cultures.
The new park uses new and modern technology. The Pirates of the Caribbean is the biggest ride. Itmeasures 16,340 square meters. Huge screens show impressive graphics. The ride has boats that move in all directions. Shanghai Disney also has two hotels. The Toy Story Hotel has 800 rooms. The decorations include popular characters from the Toy Story movie. The Toy Story Hotel has a water park and a family activity center.
