Every year, people get excited about new food trends. 2015 was a year with many new food ideas, and some of these ideas are a bit unusual. During recent years, many people stopped eating wheat flour. They decided to eat gluten-free meals instead. Chef Marc Vetri of the Vetri restaurant thinks that this will change. He thinks that many restaurants began to make their own wheat flour in 2015. 

Ugly vegetables got a new reputation last year. This is because natural vegetables often have more nutrition than consistently pretty vegetables. People will even begin to eat these healthy vegetables as the most important part of a meal. Also, consumers are asking for new types of protein, so food makers will begin to create new protein powders. These protein powders will include every thing from pea powder to insect proteins.
