The Moscow State Circus is from Russia. It is part of the Russian National Circus, but the Moscow State Circus travels the world. It performs in many different countries. Now, it is performing in the United Kingdom. Russian people respect Russian circus performers. They are in the same category as ballet dancers. This circus has gymnasts, acrobats, trapeze artists, and clowns. In communist Russia, circus performers had many special privileges.

Russian circuses have a theme for each show, and the performers tell a story. The story for the 2015 tour was “The Twelve Chairs.” This is a story about a boy looking for his family’s furniture. During the most exciting part of the performance, the performers make a tower of chairs. It is ten meters tall. The Moscow State Circus began the United Kingdom tour in late October. Visitors to the circus could buy tickets for the best seats at $55.
