Global Blood Donation Campaign #MissingType

Do you donate blood? Many big companies and famous places have three letters missing from their names.These letters are A, B, and O. This is happening internationally. This is part of a big movement. They want to motivate people to donate blood. The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) started a campaign called #MissingType. This campaign wants people to donateblood. More than 21 different countries are participating.

For example, the company Google isparticipating. Many famous tourist sitesare participating, too. They are removing the A, B, and O from their names. For example, tourists see this in Canada’s “Toronto” sign and in the “I am sterdam” in the Netherlands. Theywant this to motivate people to donateblood. The NHS hopes this campaign will attract attention. There are notenough blood donations internationally. Maybe you can help!
