Political Interest

Do you ever wonder why some people care about politics, but other people do not? Studies show many things explain why people are interested in politics. There are three reasons why some people like politics, but other people do not. The first reason is a person’s personality. People who are open or out going are more interested in politics. People who are reliable or agreeableare not as interested in politics.

Second, people who feel support from agovernment or policy care more about politics. Finally, age and gender influence interest in politics. People who are young or very old are less involved in politics. Women are usually more concerned politically when they know about the topics. Also, women are more interested if a woman is in office or running for office. Surprisingly, political events don’t affect people's interest much. A person’s political interest stays the same over time.
